Product Introduction:
Bdpazo is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) containing Pazopanib, which targets specific receptors involved in cancer progression. It is approved for treating renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and advanced soft tissue sarcoma (STS) in patients who have received prior chemotherapy.

Uses:
Bdpazo is used in the treatment of:
  1. Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC)
  2. Metastatic RCC
  3. Advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma (STS)
  4. Clear-cell renal carcinoma
  5. Patients who have progressed on prior chemotherapy
  6. Certain cases of thyroid cancer (off-label use in some regions)

Storage Instructions:
  1. Store at room temperature (15°C–30°C)
  2. Protect from moisture, light, and heat
  3. Keep tightly closed in original container
  4. Keep out of reach of children

How It Works (Mechanism of Action):
Pazopanib is a multi-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor that blocks VEGFR, PDGFR, FGFR, and c-Kit receptors. By inhibiting these receptors, it disrupts angiogenesis (the development of new blood vessels) and cell proliferation, ultimately slowing the growth and spread of tumors.

Side Effects:
Common side effects:
  1. Diarrhea
  2. High blood pressure
  3. Nausea and vomiting
  4. Loss of appetite
  5. Hair color changes
  6. Fatigue
Serious side effects:
  1. Liver function abnormalities (elevated ALT, AST)
  2. Heart rhythm disturbances (QT prolongation)
  3. Thrombotic events (e.g., blood clots)
  4. Bleeding complications
  5. Gastrointestinal perforations
  6. Proteinuria

Dosage (Typical Recommended Dose):
  1. Standard adult dose: 800mg once daily (usually taken as two 400mg tablets or four 200mg tablets)
  2. Dose adjustments may be necessary based on tolerance and liver function

Method of Administration:
  1. Take orally once daily, on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal)
  2. Swallow whole with water — do not crush, split, or chew
  3. Take at the same time each day

Precautions:
  1. Liver function should be monitored before and during treatment
  2. Use with caution in patients with cardiac history or uncontrolled hypertension
  3. Not recommended in pregnancy or breastfeeding
  4. Avoid grapefruit or grapefruit juice, which may increase drug levels
  5. Caution advised in patients at risk of bleeding or GI perforation

Drug Interactions:
  1. Avoid CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin) – may increase Pazopanib levels
  2. Avoid CYP3A4 inducers (e.g., rifampin, phenytoin) – may reduce effectiveness
  3. Antacids or proton pump inhibitors may affect absorption — separate administration
  4. May interact with QT-prolonging drugs (e.g., amiodarone, sotalol)
  5. Increased risk of hepatotoxicity with other hepatotoxic drugs

Allergies:
  1. Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pazopanib or any excipients
  2. Allergic reactions may include rash, itching, facial swelling, or breathing difficulty

Overdose Information:
  1. Overdose may cause severe hypertension, liver damage, and cardiac toxicity
  2. There is no specific antidote; provide supportive care
  3. In case of overdose, seek immediate medical attention

Missed Dose Instructions:
  1. If a dose is missed, do not take it if it's less than 12 hours until the next dose
  2. Resume the next scheduled dose at the regular time
  3. Do not double up doses

Additional Notes:
  1. Monitor blood pressure, liver function (ALT, AST), ECG (for QT interval) regularly
  2. Inform the doctor about any planned surgeries – treatment may need to be paused
  3. Maintain hydration and nutritional support during treatment
  4. Avoid activities requiring mental alertness if experiencing fatigue or dizziness
